MXS 1.2 Strada

The AiM MXS 1.2 Strada dash represents a huge leap forward in dash display flexibility. The brilliant 800x480 pixel (5" diagonal) TFT display frees you from the constraints of a single, factory-designed LCD display. The MXS 1.2 Strada shows you the data you want, the way you want.

The MXS 1.2 Strada (Italian for "street") is designed to be connected to any of over 1000 different ECUs. Any data gathered by the ECU can be displayed, without connecting additional sensors. Eight additional analog input channels* can display a wide range of temperatures, pressures, or potentiometers (throttle position, steering position, etc). A CAN input allows you to further expand the dash by adding an almost limitless number of AiM CAN Data Hubs (Part No. MC-329, sold separately). These hubs let you connect other inputs such as GPS, Lambda (O2), SmartyCam, or even channel expansion hubs, without using any analog channels! An additional screw-in port on the back of the 1.2 version lets you connect two analog cameras (not included) to turn the dash into a backup or rear-view-mirror display. (Note that this input is not compatible with the SmartyCam, and cameras connected to this port do not receive a data feed.) 

The super-compact 6.5" x 3.8" anodized aluminum housing is small enough to replace a typical instrument cluster. The auto-dimming display can be set by the user to a number of different full-color screen designs. You can even create up to 8 different pages, all using different screen designs. Ten configurable shift light LEDs across the top of the housing and 6 alarm LEDs along the sides can all be programmed with any of 7 colors. Each alarm can be programmed with a steady or flashing LED, a custom text message on the screen, and multiple conditions. 

This "Icons" version has the alarm LEDs all shaped like ISO-standard warning icons (turn signals, high beams, low beams, low fuel, low oil pressure, and high coolant temp). A digital output* (1 amp @ 12v) can be used to trigger an external warning light, fan relay, etc based on similar logic as the alarms. The shift lights can be programmed separately for each gear, if desired. Set them to come on sooner in low gears and closer to redline in high gears, set different colors for each gear, and more! Requires 9 - 15V external power supply.

The MXS 1.2 Strada is a display only It cannot log any data, and it is not desgined to connect to a logger. 

Kit includes MXS 1.2 Strada dash display, Race Studio 3 software, USB cable, and primary wiring harness with 14 pin Amp connector. The harness is designed for 2-wire connection to your ECU using either CAN or RS232 protocol. 

* Note: Analog input channels, wheel speed input, and digital output require the addition of the AiM MXS 1.2 Strada Auxiliary Wiring Harness with 23-Pin Amp Connector (Part No. MC-368, sold separately). If you only need one or two of those functions, you might want to consider building your own aux harness using the 23-Pin AMP Connector Kit Only (Part No. MC-366).
